This rest stop is located by Reinoksevatn on Nordkynnhalvųya in Finnmark.
There was a need for a place where you could stop and picnic on the way over the mountains. Resting-place should have protected seating, two fireplaces and a toilet. The place is situated in a flat landscape on the top of the mountain transition, and is very wind exposed. The wind can come from all directions.
Resting-place is designed with their niches in three different directions to create a calm and pleasant places to picnic, custom wind and solar / middnatsolens time of day. A separate toilet building would ruvet in this landscape. Toilet and their niches are woven together in a long volume of wood and tretak. The roof looks only at the switching horizon, and the floor follow the terrain. Ceilings and walls framing the view so you can see it in different ways, because where you are from. Switching of the plan creates zones outside their niches in which it is built cookfire.
The main construction is a wooden construction tender. Exterior wall covering in the weather boards, inside is dressed with a smooth edge panel. Panel and weather boards are larch treated with jernvitrol. Cookfire made in corte steel (forrustet).
